我的家乡在宁夏石嘴山市xx乡，这里乍一看很普通，没有什么特别和值得夸赞的地方，这也很正常。主要是他们不了解我的家乡。我的家乡一到六月份才开始呈现它美的一面。六月份家乡的“红宝”枸杞开始孕育它的生命：盛开美丽鲜艳的花朵、结出指甲盖大小、椭圆形的果实。而这时家乡才开始慢慢展现它的美。随着时间的推移，到了6月中旬、7月份，棵棵枸杞树的果实慢慢由以前的深绿色、淡绿色、逐渐变成淡黄、橘黄到浅红、深红。颗颗果实美丽诱人，既令人赏心悦目，有让人心潮澎湃。听妈妈说家乡的枸杞还迎来过国家呢?而且还从这里走向过世界各地呢!你说我能不为出生在这而骄傲、自豪吗?能不去赞美我的家乡吗?

因为有了枸杞，让我们的的家乡从此走上了致富的道路，因为有了枸杞我们一年的书学费有了着落，因为有了枸杞爹娘一年的忙碌得到了回报，也因为有了枸杞才会让我们的家乡名誉四方。所以我想自豪的说：家乡，我为你骄傲。

回顾过去，华夏儿女无可忘却的历史——西方列强的坚船利炮撞破了封闭已久的国门，八国联军侵入北京城，在中国的土地上烧杀抢掠，无恶不作!是什么导致了我们挨打，却不敢反抗?是什么造成了当年的落后?历史告诉我们：卑躬、屈膝、乞求、是得不到平等的，崇洋媚外、乞讨、是无法富强起来的，封闭、自守、会导致落后，开放进取才能使祖国繁荣富强!如今，中国以崭新的面貌走向世界，东方沉睡的雄狮正慢慢苏醒。我们是祖国将来的希望，不能忘记历史的教训。我们能做的不仅仅是口头上的爱国，赋予我们的是振兴中华的重任!

冬天的家乡换上了朴素的雪白长袍。在家乡小镇的街道上到处是雪，电线杆上也结了冰。下雪了，雪像柳絮一样，像芦花一样飘落下来，美极了。雪停了，村子的屋顶上，篱笆上，木棚上，到处都覆盖着一层雪。这真是一幅美丽的雪景。

家乡的一年四季有着不同的特点。我的家乡虽然没有多么美丽的风景，但是，在我眼里，我的家乡的景色永远是最美丽的！

坐在桌前的他，此时已经30多岁，事业有成，有了自己的家，有了自己的世界。"先生，您的耨米糕好了。"一个服务员说。他艰难地拿起筷子，轻轻地把米糕放进了嘴里。苦苦的。他在想，家乡儿时最爱吃的'米糕何时变得苦了起来？是那么的苦，以致于想一吐了之。他叹了口气，站起来走了，带着无限的惆怅与失落。

思念，是一种苦苦的感觉。

李煜的诗，最好地道出了游子思乡的苦楚，他的思念，却又是一种什么样的感觉呢？也许是苦吧？毕竟离家的感觉是不好受的。

if i could change one thing about my hometown， i think it would be the fact that theres no sense of community here. people dont feel connected， they dont look out for each other， and they dont get to know their neighbors.

people come and go a lot here. they change jobs requently and move on. this means that they dont put down roots in the community. they dont join community organizations and theyre not willing to get involved in trying to improve the quality of life. if someone has a petition to put in a new streetlight， she has a very hard time getting a lot of people to sign.

they dont feel it has anything to do with them. they ont get involved in improving the schools because they dont think the quality of education is important to their lives. they dont see the connection between themselvesand the rest of their community.

people dont try to support others around them. they dont keep a friendly eyes on their children， or check in on older folks if they dont see them for a few days. theyre not aware when people around them may be going through a hard time. for example， they may not know if a neighbor loses a loved one. theres not a lot of community support for individuals.

neighbors dont get to know each other. again， this is because people come and go within a few years. so when neighbors go on vacation， no one is keeping an eye on their house. no one is making sure nothing suspicious is going on there， like lights in the middle of the night. when neighbors children are cutting across someones lawn on their bikes， theres no friendly way of casually mentioning the problem. people immediately act as if its a major property disagreement.

my hometown is a nice place to live in many ways， but it would be much nice if we had that sense of community.
