war horse was such a wonderful movie. this movie exceeded my expectations. it was moving, emotional, beautiful, and so heartwarming. its sure to become a classic. you dont have to be a horse lover to love this movie.

there isnt a lot of blood, but you can still see the horrors of war and how intense it was for the soldiers and horses, as well as civilians. the battle of the somme scene was especially intense.

the acting was wonderful, the cinematography was beautiful, john williams score was perfect, and the horses were so well trained! spielberg has made a masterpiece!

现在学英语的图书铺天盖地,出版者、作者、读者无不在浩如烟海的图书市场中见缝插针地捕捉新的热点。在所有的图书都在教人“如何学好英语”的时候,韩国版的《千万别学英语》无疑使人耳目一新。

作者郑赞容(chanyongjung)早年在德国获得空间计划学硕士、环境改造与开发学博士学位,现为著名的韩国汉阳大学环境信息造景系教授。他说,原以为自己的书肯定不好卖,没想到出版后成了开创韩国销量新记录的畅销书,自1999年7月出版后,不到一个星期全部售完,销量已超过140万本,至今已是第30次印刷。

在只有4000万人口的韩国,一本普通的英语书销量居然如此可观,自然引起各界的关注。郑赞容解释,这本书要强调的是正确的学习方法,不需要背单词、学语法,只是培养一种习惯,习惯很重要。语言是通过模仿逐渐习惯化的过程,并不应该是我们的学习对象,而是通过摹仿,逐渐潜移默化形成的习惯。就像母语,根本不需要学习就会了。如果把婴儿出世以后通过模仿、慢慢会听、会说母语的过程应用在外语学习上,那么这门外语不用攻读也可以达到相当于母语的水平。

?千万别学英语》的内容像小说,富有生动有趣的情节。其中有两位主人公,一男一女,男的是上司(即作者),精通英文。女主人公是一位普通职员,正为英文不好而苦恼,因此跑去找郑先生问:

“怎么才能学好英语?”郑先生就把他所提倡的学习方法一个个地教给她。书的内容包括5个诀窍,简单易懂,还有一些关于东西方文化的对比和批评,老少皆宜。

该书的译者是北京大学的韩国教授李贞娇。她在韩国从事英语教学达10年之久,对英语教学倾注了很大的心血。她说,在北大图书馆,她发现也有很多学生为了学英语,花费很多的时间和精力去背单词、学语法。她试着向周围的一些学生介绍了《千万别学英语》中讲述的学习方法,反应非常好。于是,她着手将此书翻译成中文,希望通过《千万别学英语》的方法而产生的奇迹也在中国发生。

曾经成功地推出李阳“疯狂英语”的广东世界图书出版公司将于20xx年2月推出这本新书。总编辑严炬新认为,即使通过很长时间努力,英语已达到很高水平的人,如果很久不接触英语,也会渐渐地忘掉。

而《千万别学英语》则教会读者“母语”的学习方法,不仅适用于英语学习,同样适用于所有其他外国语,包括中文、日文、法文、德文、韩文等。在《千万别学英语》中,介绍了5个阶段的knowhow,利用少则6个月、多则1年的时间,读者可以达到相当高的水平。

继第一册的成功发行之后,20xx年6月出版发行的第二册《还在学习英语吗》在韩国也正值热销之中。这本书配有各种学习工具,包括3套磁带(初学abc级、初高中生级、社会高校级)、cd、cd-rom、mp3player等,以后还将陆续开发更多的学习工具。据了解,这本书将被翻译为英文、德文、日文、中文,陆续出版。

the book wuthering heights told us a story about love and revenge: the abandoned boy heathdiff was adopted by mr eamshaw and lived with mr earnshaws son hindley and daughter cathiner. hindley disliked heathdiff. he insulted and maltreated heathdiff in every possible way after mr earnshaws death. at the same time, peculiar emotion occurred between cathiners and heathdiff. because of vanity and ignorance, cathiner decided to mary linton. heathdiff left with anger. three years later, heathdiff returned to revenge. he succeeded in annexing all the property of hindleys and the lintons. however, cathiners ghost pestered him all the time, and he died in mental disorder.

to understand wuthering heights, you must know the auther amily well. she had been abnormal in inentality ever since her childhood. her sister charlotte had once said that amily was even ber than a man in character, and more simple than a child. he name heathdiff was compounded by the words heath and cliff, itself gave the readers a feeling of unfeelingness, which well annotated amilys abnormal mentality.

仔细读了《普通高中英语课程标准》,不难发现本次高中课程改革在理念上,课程设计上,课程内容上,教学方式上和教材编写都比原来有了很大的变化,突出了新课程“新”的特点。

首先是教材的变化。新教材具有灵活性和可选择性的特点。宏观上,目前有多种教材可供教师和学生选择;微观上,一套教材的组成部分也具有可选择性,教材的具体内容也是可选择的。这样教师可以对教材进行适当的调整和取舍。本次编写的教材使用真实、地道的当代英语语言材料,教材中所选语言材料力求做到符合学生的生活实际、认知水平和知识水平。而教材所设计的教学是以活动为主要呈现形式。教材中设计的活动以意义的理解和表达为主要目的;尽可能避免直接呈现语言知识和语言素材的编排方式。避免过于机械的语言操练活动。给学生提供了真实表达的机会。此外,本次改革注重中外文化的比较和交流,培养学生跨文化交际的意识和能力。多数教材都能以适当的方式向学生介绍外国文化并引导学生对中外文化进行比较。有利于学生对学习过程和结果进行自我评价。最后,教材以适当的形式帮助学生了解自己的学习情况,监控学习结果。
